SSIS on W2k3 64 bit access on oracle 8.1.7

  • I´m getting nuts!

I´m trying to access an oracle 8.1.7 from Windows 2003 R2 64 bit server.

On my 32 bit Win XP Client everything SSIS packet runs without any problems.

On my client I use the Oracle 9.2.0 client and on the server I tried nearly every version of oracle clients.

Oracle itself means it has to run with oracle 64 bit client, but it don´t!

Now I found a driver on the net which is able to work but is very expensive (datadirect).

Perhaps someone has a good idea or tip for me!?

  • Check the thread below for a work around solution develop in 32bits and deploy in 64bits and all Microsoft development require Oracle 9i client and above.
