Tables & Cubes

  • I have an interesting question for you all. This is my first foray into SSAS. I need to take two aggregated tables in our database and make them into cubes.

Yes, the data is pre-aggregated. The tables are created as part of our month end process. So my question to you is, does SSAS lend itself to cubing pre-aggregated tables or do I have to build a process into the cube which takes the original data and aggregates it via SSAS?

Does the question even make sense?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Aha. Just found out there are still columns in my pre-aggregated tables that can be grouped and measured on.

    Nevermind. @=)
