Placement of "dt_.." stored procs in MS tree

  • We used Redgate's comparison tool to compare a Dev and Production sql 2000 database. (While the databases are on different servers they have the same sql SP release, etc.)

Here's the issue: whe viewed un SQL Management Studio (sql 2005)

    Programmability

    Stored Procedures

    System Stored Procedures

    (empty)

    dt_addtosourcecontrol

    dt_addtosourcecontrol_u

    ...

    ...

(these procs appear in the proc list but not as system stored procs.)

    Programmability

    Stored Procedures

    System Stored Procedures

    dt_addtosourcecontrol

    dt_addtosourcecontrol_u

    ...

    ...

(these procs appear as system stored procs and do not appear elsewhere)

In other words, the same stored procs ("dt_...") appear in different locations of the trees. (The procs seems to be related to Visual SourceSafe so I doubt they are system stored procs.) The Redgate comparison tool picks up on this difference in placement and is annoying for our developers.

    1. Any ideas why the same proces appear in different areas of Management Studio?

    2. Can I move the "dt_" procs from Prod, System Stored Procs to the normal procs section?

    TIA,
