Hi Folks
Need your expert recommendation for the performance monitoring tool that i would eventually purchase.
Key features should be:
1. Report on performance bottle necks.
2. Maintain a history of selected performance metrics.
3. Doesn't need to support more than 10 servers, but has to support these
- SQL Server 2005
- sharepoint server
- reporting services
- Analysis services
I am also having to purchase a backup software, and considering RedGate SQL Backup (this have to support less than 5 servers)
Please help me out with your recommendations. I have been looking at various products but it gets too confusing to decide between a powerful tool vs the money you pay for it.
I still have to provide a budget estimate and get it approved.
Thanks in advance for your valuable input
Thanks
chal

I highly recommend looking into Quests's performance analysis.
Sorry I can't elaborate more at the time, but go demo it ... have them put a web demo together for you. You'll be amazed.
