Hi.
I have a requirement to send 'restricted' data, in the form of flat files and SQL db backups, outside of our organisation's networks. I appreciate there are various ways of doing this.
Does anyone have any suggestions or experience of the best and most secure methods of doing this, or point to a more appropriate forum?
Regards,
Alan.

You can backup the database to a TAPE or the DVD and then ship it to the destination.

Sugesh,
Thanks. I was looking for something more secure. If someone intercepted the disk they could easily read the backup with the right 'tools', even if it was password protected.
I was looking for something along the line of 'certificates' but these are for use on networks. I am not sure that it is possible to send a physical SQL backup that is 'secure' should it be intercepted.
Regards,
Alan.
