Hi all,
I have one server on 3 G Ram and we are trying to upgrade it to 20 G Memory. Does SQL automatically takes that or i have to assigned if so the how!!

It depends how your instance is setup and the operating system.
I suggest you give more details or read up on AWE. 🙂
Best way to check is right-click on the instance name,properties,memory page.
Then to see the usage of the memory, use the performance monitor and the SQL memory counter.

At 20GB, you'll need to know PAE as well.

Be sure you add lock pages in memory as a right.
