MS 2093 - MDX course

  • You might've noticed that my MDX is not up to scratch for what I need to do. I'm looking at going to the Microsoft 2093 (MS-2093 Implementing Business Logic with MDX in Microsoft SQL Server 2000) course.

Any comments on this course? I'm in Australia and finding someone who actually runs this course is really hard; I'll be flying cross-country to attend. Thus, I'm really hoping it would be worthwhile. Does anyone know of any alternatives (online delivery is fine too), or a 2005 version in the pipeline?

  • If I had my choice, I would get Chris Webb to deliver hs recently created MDX course but i'm thinking he wouldn't fly out to Aus for cheap.  So failing that, I'd chose another S(olid) Q(uality) L(earning) mentor, like Peter Myers (who *is* Oz based and a general, all round good guy) to deliver Chris' course to you.  Just fyi, Chris was a contributing author on the second edition of Spoffords' MDX Solutions, the first edition was one of the original 'bibles' back in the AS2K days.

Here's a link to Chris' blog, should go straight to the post about the course (if not, it was a May 21 2007 post).

Alternatively, not sure if he's in the "course-giving" game but Richard Lees (in Sydney) is another Aussie msft BI specialist that could possibly help out.

    HTH,

    Steve.
