Using SSIS

If one was to copy data from a SQL 2000 DB into a 2005 DB would the best option to use is SSIS via wizard.

Cannot say for sure if that is the best option but that worked well for me

It depends - if you're doing a simple, one-time load from SQL2K to SQL2K5, it might be easier to use the Import/Export wizard. If you need to do some transformations and/or will run the import more than once, you're better off creating an SSIS package.
