  Most of the time backup is getting failed because of the error :

  Microsoft (R) SQLMaint Utility (Unicode), Version [Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState: HYT00)] Error 0: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired.

  Any fix for this to get resolve ?

  Hi Vijay ,

  Are u backing ur database through maintinence plan.

  if yes then u might have enables the  check integrity  before backup. This is a bug and issue have resolved in this artical

  One more problem can cause this error .

  Do u have log on service permission on the server. If no that can be a culprit.
