Windows 2003 Server
AD mixed mode
SQL2K SP3
My scheduled maintainance jobs are set to only keep files for the last three days.
The database .bak files are succesfully purged, but the .trn files are not. I have gone so far as to completely redefine the maintainance jobs, but I can never get it to remove the older .trn files.
What am I missing here?

I have had this problem with maintenance plans when I have gone in to modify them. I found I usually had to delete the problem plan and recreate it from scratch. I never found a reason for the issue.

Maintenance plans are somewhat flaky in my best experience.
