Retention period of maintenance plan- where is it in sys tables?

    Hi gurus,

    We have 100's of maint plan in our server. I need to change the retection period of backup files from 2 days to 1 day. I cannot go and manually change for all 100 maint plans. Is this stored somewhere in system tables, so that i can go and modify those records. Or is it like maint plans are kept in dark?

    To the best of my knowledg there is no way within SQL to do as you request. You might coul use SQL-DMO in mayb VBScript to open/change and save the objects in more of an automated fashion but I haven't explored that to know for sure.
