Hi, I try to backup the active transaction log of an sqlserver database which have a disk failure and I cannot !!!!
I follow the Microsoft procedure but it does not work !!!

Is anyone run this procedure successfully ? I sanyone have an idea to do this ?

What happened, what exactly have you done, and what error are you getting? More detail would be helpful.

The MS procedure recently worked for me, but just for testing purposes. The dummy database must have the same name as the original one, otherwise you cannot apply the log backup to your restored db. I'm not sure if they mention it in the article. But post more info.
