Getting weird SQL errors after reboot

  • We rebooted our sql server yesterday, and since then our domain controllers have been giving us errors:

There are multiple accounts with name MSSQLSvc/server.domain.com:1433 of type 10.

I used the ldp tool to search for this account, but it can't find any.  I am fairly confident that I am using the tool corectly and have tried several different ways.  I can find the SQL server fine using the tool, but there is only one instance of it.  We are also having some trouble with our backup jobs, some will run and some wont.  It seems to be a permission error, but they all have the same security settings.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks

  • I believe i have found the duplicate entry.  One is located on our SQL server, and the other is located on a domain user account that we use for SQL purposes.  Is deleting one of them really a good thing, i would think that it would seriously screw up some stuff for that user account?
