restore filegroup

    Hi,

    I am trying to restore a SQL 7 filegroup backup that was done using

    Veritas backupexec sql server agent. The transaction log that I'm

    trying to restore was backed up on the disk drive using the SQL server

    enterprise manager. So far I can't seem to do that. Is this possible

    at all?

    We have just gone through a complete restore of our server that had SQL 2000 installed on it. We currently use Veritas Backup Exec 8.6 build 3878. After several "issues" we contacted Veritas Technical support and they informed us that you could NOT restore filegroups using Backup Exec. You have to use the SQL Enterprise manager for accurate restores. It didn't really affect us since we don't use filegroups.
