Hi,
I had received mail alert for low disk sapce on Drive where we have kept sql server database files. After that we shriked the database files and its created required free space on that drive.
My question is, is there any way to find out the growth of the database file and based on that i want to find when it will again reach the amount of sapce that i have shriked the data files ?
what is the disadvantage of the shriking the database files ?
what are the factor that we need to consider while shrinking the database files ?
Thanks in Advance.

Set up notifications and alert?
never shrink it to a size that's less than the current size.
Read up on shrinking here for more info:
