A New Year

We have a few days left until the new year starts, but you should have your preparations in place already. And with this being a Friday, I'm sure you can guess what the last poll of 2007 is:

What's Your New Year's Resolution?

It could be work related or not. But share with us something that you'd like to change in 2008 and make your life better.

I'll start the ball rolling with 2 of them, one work related, one not.

The work related one is to get more involved with the community. I know, I'm out here every day, giving my opinion, answering questions, etc., but I'm thinking about more involvement on a personal level. I've avoided speaking or even going to many events since I dislike travel, but I'll put it out there that I'm really going to make an effort to attend the local user group meetings and even some out of town events and be a little more visible as a SQL Server advocate. My focus is on helping you learn more about SQL Server in a fun and enjoyable way and I hope to get better in 2008.

The other is health related. I turned 40 in 2007 and despite taking care of myself fairly well, I could do better. Especially in my diet, so my resolution for 2008 is to eat a little better. I'm purposely not defining that further, but I shall endeavor to do what I can.

So share with us. Let us know what you'll change and maybe you'll inspire others to set a resolution and improve their own lives.
