SQL server 2012 Startup parameters

I’m sure that I’m not the only one with nightmares about the startup parameters in older versions of SQL Server 200x – the design and UI is just bad, it is so easy to forget a semicolon or mess up the syntax – and to end up with SQL Server that is not able to start. SQL Server 2012 to the rescue

YES it’s true! This has been improved in SQL Server 2012. Now there is a dedicated tab is the service properties to handle the startup properties. This makes it easy peasy to add / remove startup parameters and traceflags. Take a look at this picture and you see what I mean.

SQL Server 2012 you are already my new love Smile PS. Please don’t tell my girlfriend
