There are several books authored by Itzik Ben-Gan that are exceptionally good:
SQL Server 2008 T-SQL Fundamentals
Inside SQL Server 2008 T-SQL Querying

One of his SQL Server 2012 books is available now:
SQL Server 2012 High-Performance T-SQL using window functions

Ben-Gan and some other authors just published a book on this exam, "Training Kit (Exam 70-461): Querying Microsoft® SQL Server® 2012," from O'Reilly. It is also available as an e-book, and it includes a 200-question practice exam.

The first review on amazon.com is not very good but I suspect this is just someones frustration..let's face it the book will cover main aspects but not everything in details that would be x10 books ;)...
I will be buying the book for my wife who will be preparing for the exam and I'll check the content and compare to exam questions I had...

Hi

Here is partially complete 70-462 Exam Guide which I will be updating soon.

I'll be taking the exam on 7th of Jan '13 (second attempt... missed 2 questions to get pass mark last time)...70-462 Training Kit Book is my main learning material.

I find 70-462 to be rather comprehensive but hopefully studying the book in details will help me to get pass mark ;)
