HammerDB SQL Server Benchmarking Utility

Mike Fal

Everyone here knows how much I enjoy using the DVDstore database benchmarking utility to benchmark a SQL Server instance. A while back my friend Mike Fal (b | l | t) enlightened me on a different utility that he uses called HammerDB. He has now released a new post at his blog showing everyone how to use it to do a similar round of benchmarks. It has even better metrics than DVDstore, and is a bit easier to use to boot! I like it.

Mike’s post contains a great write up of what the tool does and how to use it. I encourage everyone to add this utility to their toolboxes. Read more about this great utility here!
