Nature abhors a

vacuum.  So, when I see so many SQL

Server happenings going on all over the country, and indeed the world, I get a

little nostalgic and long for the day that once again the big city of the east,

NYC will host another super SQL Server event.

Coming up this

fall, there’s SQLPASS, SQLConnections, SQLSaturdays, and even

SQLInTheCity.  I can’t believe they went

from London to LA, flying right over New York! 

 Maybe next year!  The theme they have in common is that they

are all great events for learning and training!

Back a few

months ago, I started reading and enjoying the many SQLPeople interviews that were brought to

us by the great founder, trainer and SQL MVP Andy Leonard.  As

I learned more about SQLPeople, I learned that it’s not just about interviews,

but a great concept and a whole lot more. 

Indeed a new venture and twist on the typical things we know about the SQL

Community events.

So, I became

INSPIRED, reached out to Andy and told him we’re pretty dry up here in the Big

Apple for SQL Events, and, that I love what SQL People is trying to do.  What if, we can bring what started off as a

small community gathering, and launch a big city version of SQLPeople in the

city of cities, home of Broadway, Radio City, Silicon Alley and so much more,

to New York?  And so, SQLPeople INSPIRE NYC

was born!

This special

event is unique, and is meant to inspire us SQL Professionals! It’s about

thinking and engineering, imagination and innovation, ideas and inspiration!

Most of all, it’s about people and community People like us!  The event is in the mold of the TED Talk format. Not your ordinary

training event, it is built more around direct interaction, discussion and

discourse with premium speakers from the SQL Server Community! I know you'll

know each and every one of them!

So, there I

said it, SQL and People. Don’t you want to be inspired in your professional

lives and learn from the pros?  Learn about career enhancing techniques, and more.  You can

benefit from their experiences!

SQL Server Magazine, Brian Moran, now Chief Servant

Officer at SQL People. I am honored and proud to be joining these two gentlemen,

along with NJ SQL User Group Leader and WIT

evangelist, Melissa Demcsak, aka SQLDiva, and SQL MVP, Author,

Developer and XML expert, Michael Coles, aka Sergeant_SQL.  We also have rising SQL Community Blogger Matt Velic Twitter|Blog participating

and working behind the scenes in so many important ways!

We have a date,

we have a venue, and we have great speakers! You’ve seen the interviews. Now,
