SQL Inspiration 3-days away! Last Chance! Registration CLOSING TODAY!!

,

Happy, Wednesday folks!  We're 3-days away from SQLInspiration, and that is the event we've been reading about for some months now, called SQLInspireNYC

This is it!! We are finally approaching EVENTTIME, and this is your LAST CHANCE TO REGISTERIf you get to the event registration page, you can see the little countdown clock is now a little over 5-hours left until we close registration!  After which, you WILL NOT be able to attend this spectacular sql event. If you've been thinking about registering, think no more!  NOW is the time to act!

No registrations after 4PM EST Today, no walk-ins!  The reason we need to do this, is the building security needs us to submit a final tally, and account for everyone who will be there!  We're serious about security in NYC!  That is why:

  • You must register in order to attend.
  • You must have a photo ID in order to pass security to attend.

We have some seats left, and some of our special sponsor discount codes are still available!!  Grab them now for FREE entry!  First come, first serve! (If you get invalid code, it means there are no freebies left - but, for a mere $20 bucks, you can still get in!)  The codes are:

SQLINSPIRE2011EMBARCADERO

SQLINSPIRE2011CONFIO

That's all on registration!  Do it NOW or NEVER!  Read on for logistics and reasons not to miss this event!

Brought to you by the folks, co-Chief Servant Officers of Linchpin People, Andy Leonard (blog|twitter) and Brian Moran (blog|twitter), this awesome SQLINSPIRE event by the sql franchise called SQLPeople! It will be the second event since the first one done in Richmond, VA, and we expect this to be our best event yet, and put us over the top!  It will certainly be filled with fun, learning and oodles of inspiration!

The event is being hosted by Microsoft in its NYC Headquarters, located at:

1290 Avenue Of The Americas
Sixth Floor
New York, NY 10104
<-- Click on the address for Map & Directions

Thanks to our wonderful and well-known sponsors, we are able to make this the best SQLPeople event ever!

They are Red Gate, Embarcadero, Confio, and Microsoft, and like to thank each and every one of them for their support!

Also, locally, we are being supported by the NJ SQL User's Group (NJSUG), led by NJSUG lead and SQLInspireNYC co-coordinator Melissa Demsak, aka SQLDiva.

Here are the reasons you shouldn't miss this event:

Robert Pearl, (SQLPeople Interview) (that's me :-), will talk about Telecommuting and the Virtual Office, and tips on how to get management to let you work-from-home!

Steve Jones, (SQLPeople Interview) editor-at-large, and co-founder of SQLServerCentral.com, will give his inspiring talk on finding balance with your IT career to enable a better, and more successful life.

Michael Corey, (SQLPeople Interview) CEO of Ntirety, one of the most successful managed database services company, will be speaking at our event!  Thinking of making the journey from DBA to CEO?  Mr. Corey has been there, done that!  Go ahead and read his recent SQLPeople Interview, and then come hear him in person, by registering.

Michael Coles (SQLPeople Interview) is our job navigator, navigating the new job market. The modern job market is constantly changing, and Mike brings us valuable negotiation techniques to get what you want, which can make the difference between a good opportunity and a great opportunity.

Thomas LaRock, (SQLPeople Interview) (@SQLRockstar) on loan from Confio, also has a SQL People Interview, and he too will be with us to tell us that there are seven days in the week, and someday isn’t one of them!

Andrew Brust, (SQLPeople Interview) founder/CEO of Blue Badge Insights, and MS BI expert, is right on time with his Big Data, BI, Big Deal talk, now that MS has recently adapted hadoop to deal with big data in the cloud!

Brian Moran (SQLPeople Interview) Chief Servant Officer and co-owner of both Linchpin People and SQL People, and he talks about Professional Services 2.0  and how to build and manage a professional services company for the modern age leveraging wisdom from the past.

In addition to all the INSPIRATION, we're giving out that day, here are other reasons to show up and be inspired:

  • Enter to win a chance to win a copy of Visual Studio 2010 Professional
  • Get a chance to win a copy of the newly published SQL Server MVP Deep Dives Volume II
  • Breakfast, Lunch, Sponsor Swag, Books and more!
  • Will you be inspired??  Only if you show up!  See you THIS upcoming Saturday! 😀
