Now that the kids have interest in computers, I sometimes find myself competing with them. I recently purchased a business class Dell laptop, and suddenly find it bursting with downloads and nickJr games. He has a computer in his room, but the laptop being portable in the family room, seems more attractive. My girls, now having mastered the mouse and the double-click, love it as well. So, although I had another laptop which was "theirs", it now has met its untimely doom, I'm looking for another decent laptop, that's not too expensive, and somewhat modern, with at least 1GB RAM, 60+GB, etc.
I've been monitoring eBay, and looking at a refurbished Dell Latitude CDRW DVD P4 M WiFi XP-2 WI FI LAPTOP Dual Core, with a GIG of RAM. Feedback is excellent, Power Seller 99% positive, FREE Shipping. Ebay is a great place for these sort of things, and hope that once I bid, everything will be in good working condition. Seems this guys sells one every hour, so apparently he has access to an unlimited supply of spare laptops and parts.
Any advice, let me know. On the Ebay experience, do be careful whom you buy from, check their history, look at their feedback, and location matters too!
Maybe I'll expand on advice for buying from Ebay, but generally, I've had a good experience when buying from the right folks.
Bye for now!
