I've uploaded to SkyDrive a complete step by step guide for a SQL Server 2008 R2 installation because I prefer to see this done correctly than butchered, hope it helps save some time for those dealing with this vast task, including how to install a service pack and where to find the downloads.

Appreciate the effort, but my company blocks any access to cloud storage [skydrive, dropbox, etc.]. Do you have this posted anywhere else?

I will be updating this with SQL 2012 in a few days!
