Power Map for Excel 2013 has had some recent enhancements that are worth noting. You can download the latest Power Map install file here. This update includes some really nice features that are helping make Power Map consumable to a larger audience. Here’s a quick list of some of the biggest enhancements you will find:
- Can now handle hidden and calculated fields from Power Pivot model
- Regions for geopolitical boundaries
- Export tours to .mp4 videos for sharing
- Customized colors for layers
- Better getting started experience with setting geography fields
- Add images to annotations of your data
- Ability to flatten map into a 2D map
