In case you haven't seen this elsewhere, if you want Microsoft to release SP3 for SQL Server 2005. It's time to start rattling the cages, as they don't feel there has been enough customer demand to warrant a service pack release. Huh? That's the message from SQL Server MVP Hugo Kornelis.
Some sources on this:
-
Hugo Kornelis: Want a Service Pack? Ask for it!
-
Steve Jones: The Easy Poll
-
Denis Gabo: Vote for SQL Server 2005 SP3
The place to cast your vote is the entry on the Microsoft Connect site. At the time I write this there have only been 41 "confirmations" which I would suspect is far too few to get Microsoft to budge.

Typical! They'll only fix their product if enough people notice.

Actually it's if only enough people complain, apparently. We all noticed. We just didn't make ourselves heard that we did.

Got a link to the page on connect? Or just go search for Service Pack? Thanks.
