SQLAndy

I'm Andy Warren, currently a SQL Server trainer with End to End Training. Over the past few years I've been a developer, DBA, and IT Director. I was one of the original founders of SQLServerCentral.com and helped grow that community from zero to about 300k members before deciding to move on to other ventures.

Labor Day

It's Labor Day here in the US today, a holiday that is tribute to those of us that work, the journey to decent working conditions, and it marks the end of summer (here in Fla, that means temperatures will soon be bearable again). Hopefully you're reading this on Tuesday and took Monday off to enjoy the day. I think it's easy to appreciate the day break and forget why we get the break, so if you have a minute read the Wikipedia entry about Labor Day.

Labor Day is also the day of the annual MDA telethon with Jerry Lewis - is there anyone that hasn't seen it? They get an A- rating from Charity Watch and they seem to be hard at work, It's quite a goal they've set, and puts life in perspective compared to figuring out the latest code bug at the office.
