I think we're back to the Roadhouse rule set here. Be nice.

So, the SQL Bits agenda has been released, anyone going? I'm planning on grabbing a Friday ticket tomorrow morning, but unsure about the Saturday.

If you litter your database queries with nolock query hints, are you aware of the side effects?
Try reading a few of these links...

(*) Missing rows with nolock
(*) Allocation order scans with nolock
(*) Consistency issues with nolock
(*) Transient Corruption Errors in SQL Server error log caused by nolock
(*) Dirty reads, read errors, reading rows twice and missing rows with nolock

I'm going to SQL Saturday in Omaha, NE. But I'm afraid that and the Jax (and probably Orlando) events are the only SQL Server related events I'll be able to afford.

I'm presenting on Saturday. I'll be there on Friday. Steve is presenting on Friday (he made the big cut, I could only get into the Community Day). See you there! I'm really excited about making my first SQL Bits.

Cool Grant, it will be good to see you over here again. Oh they have given you the early morning slot. Nice... I was room monitor during that slot for Mark Stacey. Remember stitting there with a bad, bad hangover, just hoping I didn't throw up

Rodders...

God I hope not. I have to be at the front of the room presenting.

Personally I find LMGTFY to be incredibly condescending, I'd feel quite insulted if someone gave me that kind of reply. I'll do the search for people if I don't think they are, but what I post is the link to the google search results.

Agree. I've never used LMGTFY and hope that I'll retain enough sense never to use it in the future. We can help people, we can teach people, but our teaching will fail if we insult them.

Ewww, Tom! I hesitate to ask what "squat thrusts" must mean over there.
