When I try to install CU10 on 3 clustered 64-bit server the installation hangs after 10 min and does nothing. All 3 SQL2005 servers are SQL Server 9.0.3042.
Please help!

Keep in mind, on clustered servers, it first upgrades the secondary node(s).
That may indeed take time !
Why aren't you applying SP3 +CU1 or higher ?

we are supposed to do CU10 first....so it is technically possible to go with SP3 right away?

I believe to get to the same level of protection you'll need SP3 and CU #1 for SP3.

SP3 = SP2 + cu9
SP3+CU1 = SP2+CU11 !
You can go directly to sp3 and then apply CU1 for sp3. (Current is CU2)
