tried to Executed the script but got the below error :
Msg 102, Level 15, State 1, Line 13 Incorrect syntax near 'int'.

Is there any reason of using Variables and not using Temp tables ?

chetanr.jain - have tested on sql 2005 through 2008. can you be more specific on the error?
SQL_Quest-825434 - no reason, i'm sure temp tables will do equally well.
