I think it is awesome. I plan to take the exam in the next few days and once I pass I too will be jazzed.
It is funny that some people will downplay it. I have a friend who does this because s/he has many years experience. But, then said person would like to make a photocopy of someone's 'existing one', alter it, and use it on his resume (no way, by the way).
Go figure. I think it shows that you have a handle on the breadth and potential of the application and definitely establishes a baseline of what you know. It's proof.
