I tried to put an "image" box into a table grid but the image wizard couldn't resolve a field name where it expected a "url". And using just the field properties, to point at the field containing the url, it will only display the url as a link, not as an image.
Someone suggested that it is not until SSRS 2008 that such abilities are native to SSRS, but even that is suspect, and besides, we don't have SSRS 2008.

| Found the simple answer, very simple. Just drop the image box onto the layout table grid, click "Finish" next at the first Wizard prompt, and "Finish" again to get rid of the Wizard, then go to the properties sheet, the Data section, pick external for source and put the field name for the "value". Below that a little ways in the properties sheet Layout section you can set the "Sizing" value to whichever of 4 types fits your need. "FitProportional" works well if you want to shrink things a bit.
