Dear All, Am trying to make a new package in SQL Server 2005. In the tool box am not able to see Data Flow Task, Connection etc, Infact am seeing very few options like 'Backup database Task', 'Shrink Database Task' etc. Where can I find the other options..?
Thanks...
Santhosh Nair.

Are you in Management Studio or Business Intelligence Development Studio?

nairsanthu1977,
What you're seeing are the tasks available for a maintenance plan package. You have to use BIDS to create any other SSIS package.

SQL Server 2005 has totally replaced DTS with SSIS. I suggest grabbing a couple "learn in 24 hours" books or go grab Brian Knight's wonderbook of SSIS god power.

You have to go to BIDS to build SSIS packages, except maintenance plans. That's why you're seeing the maintenance plan options, but not anything else.
