SQL Mirroring Performance

  • I am having issues with my Mirroring Performance not being able to keep up. During peak hours I am seeing 40GB of change an hour that needs to be replicated across a WAN from Philadelphia to Salt Lake City. I have already worked with my network team and our 1GB connection isn't saturated and it is going through 10GB switches which also aren't bottlenecked.

I can see that the send rate is the issue and not restore rate through monitoring.

I have confirmed my VLF count is less than 20 as well.

Anyone have any tips in terms of SQL or TCP tuning in windows that they have done to help mirroring performance?
