Replication question

    Hi All,

    In transactional replication, can I have SQL 2012 as publisher and SQL 2000 as subscriber ?

    I never done this before, but my gut feeling is, you cannot do it.

    There is a big difference between 2012 and 2000....so, its better not to set it up.

    I can't find a reference to this at the moment but I am pretty sure that sql 2012 transactional replication is not supported when replicating to SQL 2000.

    If your distributor is 2012 you *might* be able to get it to work (with scripts) but I wouldn't put my mortgage on it. :ermm:

    I'd say the minimum version would be 2008R2 but maybe 2005 would be okay.

    I would be interested to hear if anyone has done this previously.
