Do you have any kind of problems?
If not, I can't see any reason for trying to solve this.

Dear Grasshopper,

My dev team is asking why this version on client and servers of SQL NATIVE CLIENT 2008 R2 is different.

They are saying that should be same.

I just need to know that which one is latest Client one or Server one.

Thanks.

10.50.1600.1 is SQL2008R2 RTM

all higher numbers refer to service packs or cumulative updates, or the combination of both.

Is see in many companies that if they apply service packs/cumulative updates, but they only do it for the database servers
and simply forget about clients.

Client software also has enhancements to it and should be upgraded, just like for db servers.

You can get service packs from Windows Updates and both service packs and cumulative updates can be downloaded from the Microsoft site.
