shashank, thanks for the reply and sorry for only comming back to you now. MDAC is installed on my computer and I did come right thank you. I had the provider wrong in my connection string and when I fixed it, it worked thanks to Adrian Jardin (a fellow South African) that helped me. Thanks Adrian!
