  • Can anybody tell me what this error msg means:

"Guid should contain 32 digits with 4 dashes (xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxx)

I am new to 2005 and I am trying to set up a maintenance plan and got this error when I tried to save it!

  • Check following link.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922651

  • This error stated in the link has to do with an IMPORTED maintenance plan. I am creating a new maintenance plan from the wizard. It is happening on one creation. I have made another full maintenance plan and a transaction backup and those are working fine. Go figure!

  • I am still playing with this. All my issues that I keep coming up against have to do with the Integrity Check during the Maint Plan. I have disabled that step and then I can save off the PLAN and it runs fine. What is up with that? It says to fix this stuff, I have to do snapshots of the db and then delete them out...blah blah blah. It has to be a bug and they are going to fix it right??? I double checked that the files didn't have 'read-only' going on and they don't. I am still scratching my head. So...what is going to happen to the db without the integrity check enabled???????

    Thanks all....

    Thank you!!,
