• With that in mind, the one piece of advice I would offer is that everyone needs to approach their choice of data storage more carefully. Too many people are either choosing based on a "this will solve everything" mindset, or, a "with this we'll never have to have a DBA ever again" mindset. Both cause severe problems. The database platforms we have available now are amazing. Some of them are very generalist, SQL Server, others are very specific, Hadoop. Get people to pick and choose what they need for the right reasons.
