System Recommendations

    Hi,

    Does anyone know of where or a how best to guide system recommendations for a BI Database server...

    Typically how is best to work out RAM/CPUU/Disc Space required and how this should increase as the database increases.

    I've been trying to find some information but unable to find any valid information that helps

    Hey, well I guess that's because every BI server is different. Some will make use of high logical calculations on the server while other's will pull calculated data from sources. Best advise. Start with a fairly strong server (capable of expanding), and work from there. 90% of the time, its not about the hardware, its about the tuning. 🙂
