I was going to wait until tomorrow night, but it is close enough.

I am resigning my position with Honeywell. I will be giving my two weeks notice tomorrow.

I have accepted a contract position through TEKSystems at Progressive Insurance here in Colorado Springs.

I already know that I have set some high expectations. I had a phone interview last Monday with two DBAs back in Cleveland. The thirty minute technical screening went really well, and I felt confident that I would get a call back for a second interview.

The next day one of the recruiters I was working with called me at work. When I called him back, he said thet weren't calling me back for a second interview, they were offering me the position.

Later that day I called back to ask a couple of questions and talked to the other recruiter I was working with, and she told me that the manager back in Cleveland simply said that they wanted me.

Definately going to be interesting. I am excited about getting to work with SQL Server again, but anxious as well.
