This thing is addressing problems that dont exist. Its solution-ism at its worst. We are dumbing down machines that are inherently superior. - Gilfoyle

  • Thank You Henrico. I had lots of issues when setting up the netmeeting the first time. Therfore I thought I would write one that could be helpful to others.

  • Although not really applicable to me (right now), I still enjoyed the article.

  • Nice article Roy. It seems for me that Murphy's law plays an important factor. Seriously though, our last presentation went off without a hitch - woot.

  • Thanks Jason. Yes murphys law is something that always peeks its head out when it is not welcome... 😀 We had the problem with Waynes presentation. 🙁

Thanks Jason. Yes murphys law is something that always peeks its head out when it is not welcome... 😀 We had the problem with Waynes presentation. 🙁

We found out the problem with Waynes presentation - firewall. Firewall configurations were blocking certain aspects of the presentation. Disabling that made a world of difference.

  • Good to know about the firewall thingy. I hadn't thought about that.

Roy... I really enjoyed the "meeting" with you and your good folks. It was a first for you and me both. Thank you for being patient with me, as well. It was a wonderful experience.

I was also tickled to chum around with you at PASS... we had some good times together.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.

We should do it again this year if both of us there for the summit. 🙂
