Installation error - error writing to file: microsoft.analysisservices.adomdclient.dll

    I am running into the following error doing a SQL Server 2008 install on a 64 bit 2008 server

    error writing to file: microsoft.analysisservices.adomdclient.dll

    Lots of google posts about it, no solutions. Anyone have any ideas?

    I have contacted MS Support, will post their responses here.

    MS Says

    The account that run the setup has domain and local admin permission on that server, it run remotely. Upon my case experience, this issue might be caused by the remotely installation. To narrow down our issue, please try to install locally. Please follow these steps:

    Action Plan:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1. Copy the setup application to target server.

    2. Start the setup via “Run as administrator”.
