Hi All,
I receive this wonderfully descriptive error "the operation could not be completed. Unspecified error" when trying to open a .sql file to an open instance of SSMS. Doesn't matter if the file is on my desktop/an attachment in an email/wherever, when I double-click on the file with SSMS open (although that shouldn't matter since it should open SSMS to view the file contents) I receive the error.
I've got another computer which is setup identically (near as I can tell - but I'd guess that is not really the case) and it will open .sql files into SSMS.
Also, I cannot find an error entry in any logs, that I have opened, referring to this error message.
Anybody got an idea what's going on?...what I can try next?...a solution?
