Today I was asked one simple question to which I could not answer. When logshipping and replication were introduced? I could say then I was a kid as I started working on sql server 2005 onwards. :p Could you tell me? I searched on net but didn't get correct answer.
I think answers should go like this:
1. Replication - 6.5
2. Logshipping - 7.0

I think log shipping was introduced in sql 2000. prior to that it was all manual process of shipping logs to secondary. In 2000 Enterprise edition, we got automated log shipping. Need to cross check.
Not sure abt replication but it seems it was introduced in 6.5 version.
