To develop the SSAS database you would use Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) which comes as part of the SQL Server installation (for SQL 2005 and above). Once you have this created and deployed to your SSAS server then you can connect to this with Management Studio (SSMS) and write MDX statments against the cube and you can browse the cube like you are able to in BIDS.
Here is a link to a list of other tools that you might find useful for SSAS -

Dear Sir,
In my project i am using oracle data base.i have taken 3 tables from the database. such as T1,T2,T3. Table T1 contain one column is date ,(format is ddmmyyy). i want the result based on the year, month. date in my cube browser. so that i create the server time dimension in my project. but it is not visible in DSV. so right click project name and i choose "Generate relation schema" . when i click this option the following error occured. "The target server is not SQL server ". what is the problem? how to solve this problem?

Hi,
First you need to check your connection if it is working fine. Than come to DSV right click on DSV Designe area than select add/remove table option. On top of the prompt check your datasource is select or not, if not select it then add table which you want to add in DSV, If there is no relation ship appeared, No Problem you just drag n drop column from one table to other to create relationship. If you want to check your relation is properlly define or not, select arrow than right click and select edit relation.
that's all....
Please check & reply me.. it work for you or not.
Regards
Binayak
