  Hi

  I am trying to installe SQL server 205 Std Edt on new Winodws server 2003 64 bit Os. I am getting error message for SQL Native Client that

  An attempt was made to install (or update) SQL Server Native Client on a computer where SQL Server Native Client is already installed, and where the existing installation was from an MSI file that was not named sqlncli.msi.

  I read this article and try to uninstall SQL Native client and reinstall sQL but same error message

  2.7.2 Existing SQL Native Client Installation May Cause Setup to Fail

  Setup might fail and roll back with the following error message: "An installation package for the product Microsoft SQL Native Client cannot be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package 'sqlncli.msi'." To work around this problem, uninstall SQL Native Client by using Add or Remove Programs. On a cluster, uninstall SQL Native Client from all nodes. Then, run SQL Server Setup again.

  it is totaly new server and i have been uninstall whole SQL server 2oo5 more then 4 times and still same error message. How to fix this one. i am not able to find out more information. Every one is saying uninstall and reinstall SQL native client i have been done lot times but it is not helpfull in my case.

  If i uninstall only SQL Native Client and then i try to install SLQ server then at startup it install self first SQL native client and then go head and til end error message.
