I want to detach a database.
but on my server replication is running. That replication is linked with 4 other databases.
How can i detach a database when replication is running.
What are the conditions that i have to check before detaching a database
Thanks,
sandhya

Hi,
You will need to unpublish the databases that are involved in replication.
The following link should be of use to you.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190794.aspx
Let me know if I can of any further assistance.
Cheers,
John

the book answer is you need to stop publication, but i have detached without doing so
make sure you check the box to drop all connections and you might have to do it a few times. worked for me and replication came back when i attached again
