Hi Everyone,
I setup a trans replication with local distributor push between sql server 2005 (subscriber) and sql server 2000 (publisher and distributor).
The snapshot agent never started.
I tried to start and stop the snapshot agent but it did not help.
Please help and advise.
Best regards, TJ

The owner of the job (who is probably the user who created the job or who first set up replication) does not have the necessary permissions.

open ssms >> add sql 2000 server there >> open sql 200 server and open publisher /distributor / subscription properties there in security tab use proper sql authentication to to connect to all these sql servers....if once this is working do R&D for windows authentication by changing one by one...
remember all in ssms 2005 not sql 2000 enterprise manager
