Dear sir,
somehow im not able to open Enterprise Manager, while this problem exits, im able to work on database through Query. The same problem is on one of your post dated 02/10/2005. Related to this i've run the command
C:\WINNT\system32\mmc.exe /s "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\BINN\SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC"
But I am getting the error
MMC cannot open the file C;\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\BINN\SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC.
This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or was created by a later version of MMC. This may be also be because you do not have sufficient access rights to the file.
I have windows 2003 sever with service pack 1.
File Enterprise manager.msc is available in above mentioned folder.
Please do help me.

Did you use a semicolon instead of a colon as this error message would indicate?

I get this occasionally on new servers. When it happens I go to a command prompt or the 'run' box and type 'mmc'. Then select"Add/Remove Snapin" from the File menu. Click "Add" and select SQL Enterprise Manager. Once it opens, go to "save as" and save it over the existing "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\BINN\SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC".
