Does anybody know if this build list can be downloaded from some place ?
(for the moment I tend to keep up the copy/paste way )

This way we can match it to our inventory database and get an actual standing of our sqlservers.

Paperwork has some flaws

What does the date represent in the string? I have two instances on my machine Standard and SQLExpress with 2 different dates.

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.1406.00 (Intel X86) Mar 3 2007 18:40:02 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Standard Edition on Windows NT 5.1 (Build 2600: Service Pack 2)

and

Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.2047.00 (Intel X86) Apr 14 2006 01:12:25 Copyright (c) 1988-2005 Microsoft Corporation Express Edition on Windows NT 5.1 (Build 2600: Service Pack 2)

by the way the first is not in this list.

Thanks for the notes and those 3 (2150, 2153, 3054) have been added.

Also added a CSV to the article so you can download the list. I'll try to keep it as up to date as possible.
